PITTSBURGH—Pat Narduzzi, Pitt's Chris Bickell '97 Head Football Coach, announced former Panthers QB Kenny Pickett and DB A.J. Woods will serve as honorary coaches for the Blue-Gold Spring Game presented by MAC.BID at Acrisure Stadium Saturday, April 12, at 1 p.m.
"Those guys are family, forever Panthers," Narduzzi said in a press conference this week. "We've got two Super Bowl champions coming back here."

Pickett and Woods earned Super Bowl rings last season as members of the Philadelphia Eagles to go along with their ACC Championship rings they each earned as members of the Pitt football team in 2021.
Pickett, a first-round selection (20th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, was traded to the Cleveland Browns from Philadelphia earlier this month. He finished his collegiate career (2017-21) as Pitt's all-time leader in passing yards (12,303), pass completions (1,045), total offense (13,112), touchdown responsibility (102) and passing touchdowns (81). He added 20 career rushing touchdowns, a record by a Pitt quarterback.
Woods signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2024 before signing to the Eagles' practice quad prior to the start of the regular season. While at Pitt (2019-23), Woods collected 102 tackles (69 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, four interceptions, 29 passes defensed and forced one fumble.
Admission for the Blue-Gold Game is free and parking will be available for $10 in Gold lot 1, Gold lot 2 and Stage AE. Parking lots open at 10 a.m., while fans will be able to enter the stadium at Gate B starting at 11 a.m.
New this year, the Panther Club will be hosting a Pitt Football Spring Showcase event in the UPMC Club during pregame. From 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., fans can enjoy photo opportunities, as well as hear the coaches and the student-athletes preview the upcoming season. To be invited to the Spring Showcase event, fans must be Pitt Football season ticket holders or Panther Club members. Those interested may purchase season tickets here.
