Pitt Falls 1-0 at No.12 Seed Cal in ACC Quarterfinals

BERKELEY, Calif. - The Pitt men's soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 12 seed California on Sunday afternoon in the ACC quarterfinals at Edwards Stadium.
The Golden Bears broke through in the 35th minute when Beau Morrison capitalized on a cross from Gaku Nishimura and Cam Wilkerson to notch the game's lone goal.
Pitt outshot Cal 14-11 on the day, also holding a 61 percent advantage in possession. The Panthers earned four corner kicks to the Bears' six.
Lasse Dahl led the Pitt attack with three shots on goal, while Tomas Bedouret added four total attempts and one on frame. Goalkeeper Jack Moxom turned away six shots in the effort to keep the game close.
The Panthers pressed late, generating seven second-half shots and forcing two saves from Cal's keeper, but were unable to find the equalizer before the final whistle.
