Biles, Louis, and Lovelace Named to 2025 Pony Express Award Mid-Season Watch List

PITTSBURGH — Pitt linebackers Rasheem Biles, Kyle Louis, and Braylan Lovelace have been named to the Pony Express Award Mid-Season Watch List, recognizing the nation's most outstanding tandem in college football.
The honor, presented by the Pony Express Huddle Foundation and founded by SMU legends Craig James and Eric Dickerson, celebrates elite duos who embody a team-first mentality, regardless of position.
Louis, an All-America linebacker, has compiled 53 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and two interceptions this season. Biles has matched his impact with 53 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, and one interception, which he returned 75 yards for a touchdown. Lovelace paces the trio with 55 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and five quarterback hurries.
Together, the three anchor one of the nation's most productive defenses. Pitt ranks fourth in the ACC in total defense and sixth nationally in rushing defense, while also compiling the fifth-most tackles for loss in the country.
