PITTSBURGH — Pitt Football returned to the national polls this week, checking in at No. 22 in the newest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night.
The Panthers (8-3, 6-1 ACC) traveled to then-No. 16 Georgia Tech last weekend and emerged with a 42–28 victory. It marked their second road win over a ranked opponent this season (No. 25 Florida State), the most in a single season during the Pat Narduzzi era. The win also capped off Pitt's ACC road slate with a perfect 4–0 record. Georgia Tech's loss was its first at home since 2023, snapping a 10-game winning streak at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Pitt's offense currently ranks first in the ACC in scoring (37.6 ppg) and third in passing (281.6 ypg), while the defense ranks second in turnovers gained, sixth in total defense, seventh in sacks and second in rushing defense.
Up next, the No. 22 Panthers host No. 12 Miami this Saturday at noon, with Pitt's ACC Championship Game hopes still alive. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
