Pitt Athletics Reaches Historic 94 Percent Graduation Success Rate

PITTSBURGH – Pitt student-athletes reached a 94 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR), the highest in recorded department history, as released by the NCAA today.
"I'm extremely proud of our department's 94% Graduation Success Rate announced today by the NCAA," Athletic Director Allen Greene said. "It's an extraordinary achievement and a reflection of our student-athletes' determination and commitment to everything they do. We are proud that Pitt is a place where student-athletes can thrive academically, athletically, and personally."
The 94 percent GSR measures the proportion of student-athletes who earn a degree within six years of initial enrollment (the 2018-19 freshman cohort for this year's report), accounting for transfers who leave in good academic standing. Pitt is well above the national average of 90 percent and the Panthers have annually performed above that national benchmark.
