PITTSBURGH— Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi has been named one of 24 national semifinalists for the 2025 George Munger College Coach of the Year Award, the Maxwell Football Club announced Wednesday. The prestigious honor annually recognizes the top head coach in college football.
Narduzzi is one of only three ACC coaches to earn semifinalist distinction this season and is recognized for guiding the Panthers to a 7–3 record, including a five-game winning streak that propelled Pitt into the ACC Championship race.
Under Narduzzi, Pitt has showcased one of the nation's toughest defenses and an emerging offense. The Panthers have fought for every win in 2025, while demonstrating the resilience that has become a trademark of the program during Narduzzi's tenure.
The Maxwell Football Club will announce three finalists for the George Munger Award on Dec. 8, before naming the 2025 winner on Dec. 30. The award will be formally presented on March 14, 2026, in Atlanta, Ga., during the Maxwell Football Club's annual national awards event.
