PITTSBURGH – The Pitt men's basketball program has announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 2026 recruiting class today for National Signing Day. The trio brings size, versatility and high-level play to Pittsburgh, strengthening the team's foundation.
The class features three of the top players in the country, including two ranked among the top 50 prep players in America. According to 247Sports, Pitt's class is ranked No. 6 in the country. ESPN has the trio ranked as high as No. 4 nationally. The class consists of:
Chase Foster (IMG Academy / Bradenton, Fla.)
Anthony Felesi (Utah Prep / Hurricane, Utah)
Jermal Jones (IMG Academy / Bradenton, Fla.)
CHASE FOSTER
Forward
6-8 / 210
IMG Academy / Baltimore, Md.
Chase Foster is ranked No. 32 nationally by 247Sports. He is the sixth-ranked power forward in the class. Foster has size and shooting touch, can stretch the floor and defend multiple positions.
"Chase is one of the highest rated recruits in Pitt basketball history," Head Coach Jeff Capel said. "He has versatility on both sides of the ball. At his size, he has tremendous skill level to score, both catch-and-shoot and off the bounce. He's a good athlete with good basketball IQ. Defensively, Chase can guard the 1 through 4 and that will give us defensive versatility. He's also shown an ability to change and block shots as well."
According to 247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein, Foster is "one of the more physically gifted forwards in the country. He's long, mobile, and athletic … While his productivity and efficiency are trending in the right direction, he's still a high upside prospect who isn't close to peaking just yet. Defensively, he has clear weapons with his size, length, mobility, and leaping ability."
Foster had almost 20 scholarship offers and chose Pitt over schools such as Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida State, Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
ANTHONY FELESI
Forward
6-5 / 180
Utah Prep / Hurricane, Utah
Anthony Felesi is ranked No. 48 nationally by 247Sports. He is ranked the No. 21 small forward in the country and is the second-best recruit in the state of Utah. Felesi is a dynamic wing who brings athleticism and length, and his ability to guard and score makes him a key piece.
"Anthony was another top target for us this past summer," Capel said. "He has high character, is a hard worker and a great teammate. He is one of the best athletes and one of the better defenders in the class with a growing skill set as a big guard. He has a high ceiling but he's not close to tapping into his full potential yet. I look forward to seeing how Anthony develops."
According to 247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein, Felesi is "a tough and strong wing who has exceptional length and plays consistently hard … he's one of the more naturally talented defenders in the class. He has an almost 7-foot wingspan, can guard multiple positions, can get athletic rebounds and can snatch loose balls … he can attack both sides in the half-court, and has the balance to absorb contact along the way."
Felesi had more than a dozen scholarship offers and chose Pitt over schools such as Cal, Gonzaga, Louisville, UCLA and Villanova.
JERMAL JONES
Guard
6-4 / 180
IMG Academy / Riverview, Fla.
Jermal Jones is ranked No. 109 nationally by 247Sports and is the No. 15 shooting guard in the nation. He has exhibited defensive potential and versatility as a guard with good size for his position. He can knock down shots, defend at a high level and attack the basket.
"Jermal has toughness and grit that has defined Pittsburgh," Capel said. "He is that junkyard dog player that Pitt fans have loved for years. He signifies Pitt men's basketball and is a competitive, athletic, scoring combo guard. Jermal really attacks the basket and finishes above the rim. He's an efficient three-point shooter who really prides himself on having the defensive mentality we want."
Jones chose Pitt over offers from schools like Cal, Florida State, Purdue, Washington and West Virginia.
