Bayless, Stout Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Volleyball's Blaire Bayless and wrestling's Mac Stout have been named Pitt's PNC Achievers of the Week for their standout performances over the past week.
Bayless averaged 3.17 kills per set and 3.50 points per set across two sweeps while hitting .341 from the outside hitter position. The junior notched eight kills, two digs, two blocks and an assist in Friday's sweep over Virginia Tech, hitting .353 on the night. She followed with 11 kills, two blocks and a dig in Sunday's straight-set victory over Virginia, tying for the match high in kills while hitting .333.
On the mat, No. 5 ranked Stout continued his dominant start to the season, earning his sixth straight victory with a 19-2 technical fall over Connor Jacobs in just 2:41. The redshirt junior has now recorded four technical falls in his last six matches, including three in under three minutes.
