Pitt Wrestling Releases 2024-25 Schedule

PITTSBURGH – Pitt wrestling head coach Keith Gavin announced the 2024-25 schedule, Thursday afternoon. The Panthers will host a total of seven home dual meets, including a pair against top 20 opponents Ohio State and Stanford at the Fitzgerald Field House.
Pitt will hold its annual Blue vs. Gold dual (Oct. 25) before officially kicking off the season with a home opener against Navy (Nov. 2). The Panthers will also host dual meets with Lehigh (Nov. 24), Ohio State (Dec. 13), and Pitt Johnstown (Jan. 3) in non-conference action.
The Panthers are set to compete in the Clarion Open (Nov. 3), the Journeymen Classic (Nov. 10), and the Midlands Championship (Dec. 29-30).
Pitt travels to Lawrenceville, N.J. for a quad meet with Rider, South Dakota State, and Maryland on Dec. 20 and will also have dual meets with West Virginia (Jan. 12), Bucknell (Jan. 17), Binghamton (Feb. 2) and Iowa State (Feb. 9).
In ACC action, the Panthers welcome Stanford (Jan. 10), Duke (Feb. 1), and North Carolina (Feb. 7) to Pittsburgh. Pitt will travel to NC State (Jan. 24), Virginia Tech (Feb. 14) and Virginia (Feb. 21) to round out conference opponents.
Pitt is coming off a season that saw seven individual winners at the NCAA Wrestling Championships for the first time in a decade. Pitt finished 26th overall as a team at the NCAA Championships and have finished in the top 30 in four consecutive seasons.
Pitt returns five of its seven NCAA qualifiers in Luca Augustine, Reece Heller, Dayton Pitzer, Finn Solomon and Mac Stout.
