Luis Sahmkow (above) was the first Panther this season to record a brace, by scoring two goals in the match, to help bring down Louisville 3-2 and remain unbeaten in ACC play.

Pitt improved to 2-1 in the most recent iteration of the Backyard Brawl rivalry, renewed in 2022. The Cardiac Cats' second comeback in as many weeks secured the win for the Panthers.

The Panthers dominated their way to a Win over Louisville holding the edge in total shots, 27-5, shots on goal, 12-2, corner kicks, 4-2 and overall possession, 58% on the way to a 3-1 win.
