Ilse Steigenga (below) was named the ACC Women's Most Valuable Field Performer as she tallied 21 points in three separate events. Steigenga earned ten points for her ACC Championship victory in the heptathlon, eight points for her second place finish in the long jump, and three points for sixth place in the triple jump.

The Panthers clinched their first ACC series of the season with their 9-7 victory over the No. 8 Seminoles.

The Panthers shutout the Nittany Lions 10-0 in eight innings. Jayden Melendez hit his second home run of the game in the eighth inning that clinched the mercy rule. It was Pitt's first shutout win over Penn State since 1981 when the Panthers defeated them 1-0.
