Bufalini, Hinson Named PNC Achievers of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Olivia Bufalini of Women's Track & Field and Men's Basketball's Blake Hinson were named the PNC Achievers of the Week.
In the first 800m race of her collegiate career, freshman Olivia Bufalini recorded a time of 2:11.43 to take first place in the event at the Hokie Invitational. The Wilmington, North Carolina native was just shy of breaking into the all-time top-10 Pitt indoor records. Bufalini's time is currently the 69th best in the NCAA.
Blake Hinson scored 24 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting from three-point range in Pitt's dominant win over No. 7 Duke on Saturday night. The Deltona, Fla. native shot 8-of-10 from the floor and collected a team-high eight rebounds as the Panthers won in Cameron Indoor Stadium for the first time since 1979 and collected their first win over an AP Top 10 opponent since the 2014-15 season. Hinson's 7-of-7 effort from beyond the arc matched an ACC record for most makes without a miss. The feat also marked a Cameron Indoor Stadium opponent record and a Pitt record for most three-point field goals without a miss.
