PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh fifth-year Dylan Reed earned his third weekly conference award of the season after being named the ACC Men's Co-Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. Reed shares the honor with Rodolfo Vazquez Montano from North Carolina.
The three weekly conference honors are the most in a season by a Pitt diver since Dominic Giordano received the award five times in 2016-17. This is the fifth weekly conference honor in Reed's career and sixth weekly award for the Panthers this season.
The McLean, Va. native helped lead the Panthers to a 165-135 victory over West Virginia in the pool edition of the Backyard Brawl Saturday, Jan. 13. Reed led the Pitt men's diving team that swept the top three spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter. Reed won the 1-meter with a season-high 396.38 points and won the 3-meter with 412.13 points.
