Panthers Announce Fall Schedule

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt lacrosse program announced its fall competition schedule Wednesday afternoon, which will feature five days of lacrosse in preparation for the 2024 spring season.
The Panthers' open fall play when they host Cincinnati and Robert Morris on Saturday, September 9. These scrimmages will take place at the University of Pittsburgh Sports Dome rather than at Highmark Stadium, the usual home of the Panthers.
A few weeks later, Pitt will head across the state to the Penn State Play Day on September 30. Next, the Panthers will host their annual play day on October 8 and welcome Canisius, Duquesne, Niagara and St. Bonaventure to Highmark Stadium. Two weeks later, Pitt makes their longest trip of the fall to Stony Brook for a play day on Long Island on October 22 before wrapping up the exhibition season competing at the Ohio State Play Day on October 28.
Both events hosted by Pitt are open to the public with free admission.
The new Panther roster features 38 student-athletes, including eight newcomers (five freshmen, two transfers) and 30 returners. Pitt returns 96% of their scoring offense and three of five regular starters on the defensive side.
