Pitt to Host Missouri in 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge

PITTSBURGH – Pitt, coming off a 24-12 season that included a pair of NCAA Tournament wins, will host Missouri Tuesday, Nov. 28 in an ACC/SEC Challenge contest. Tipoff at the Petersen Events Center is slated for 7 p.m. for the first meeting between the two schools.
Pitt returns its starting frontcourt of Blake Hinson (15.3 ppg., 6.0 rpg., 97 3fg) and Federiko Federiko (6.6 ppg., 5.3 rpg., 1.7 bpg., .667 fg pct.) from a year ago, while also welcoming back twin forwards Guillermo Diaz Graham (3.5 ppg., 3.2 rpg.) and Jorge Diaz Graham (2.9 ppg., 2.2 rpg.) as well as two-year starter William Jeffress, who missed the 2022-23 season with a foot injury.
Pitt's incoming class includes productive transfers Ishmael Leggett (16.4 ppg., 5.8 rpg., 2.4 apg. in 2022-23) and Zack Austin (14.1 ppg., 5.4 rpg., 2.1 bpg., 62 3FG) along with highly touted high school prospects – Marlon Barnes, Jr., Carlton Carrington, Papa Amadou Kante and Jaland Lowe.
Season tickets are now on sale through the Panther Ticket Office.
Missouri finished the 2022-23 season 25-10 overall and 11-7 in the SEC. The Tigers topped Utah State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to 15-seed Princeton in the second round. Missouri has added six transfers to go along with a three-person freshman class that ranked in the top 25 nationally.
