Lowe Selected to Jordan Brand Classic Team

PITTSBURGH – Pitt freshman guard Jaland Lowe has been named to the 23rd Annual Jordan Brand Classic Team as announced over the weekend on jordanbrandclassic.com. Lowe is the fourth Panther commit to be named to the Jordan Brand Classic team and the first since 2012.
Lowe had an outstanding senior campaign for the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos leading the team to the Region III-5A championship game and a 35-4 overall record. Lowe averaged 26.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 3.1 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game as a senior for coach Ronnie Courtney. He surpassed 2,000 career points during district play and closed out his high school career as a three-time all-district selection, two-time all-state honoree, two-time District 20 5A Most Valuable Player, two-time All-Greater Houston Player of the Year, and two-time all-region selection. Lowe was also named winner of the 12th annual Guy V. Lewis Award as the top boys basketball player in the Greater Houston area.
