
Three Panthers Qualify for NCAA Championships on Final Day of NCAA Zones

MORGANTOWN, WV – Sophomore Jess Vega punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships in the women's platform diving competition finishing sixth overall Wednesday afternoon on the final day of the NCAA Zone A Championships. Her performances in the preliminary and final rounds earned her a 474.95 overall.
Along with Vega, senior Dylan Reed and freshman Juan Osorio Mendoza secured a spot at the NCAA Championships in the men's platform. Reed claimed third overall with his combined score of 666.90. His performance also earned him a spot in the NCAA Championships men's 1-Meter competition. Mendoza finished the platform finals with a 632.60 total to secure fifth place overall. His performance secured him a place in the NCAA Championships men's 3-Meter competition.
Also competing today on platform, junior Emma Gravgaard claimed a spot in the women's platform finals – earning a combined score of 445.55 to place 11th overall.
Out of the 16 participants in the men's platform finals, sophomore Cameron Cash took eighth with his combined score of 608.95 – securing an NCAA B Cut to compete in the NCAA Championships men's platform competition. Junior Jackson Salisbury finished ninth (605.00), and fifth year Josh Parquet secured 16th (532.05).
