Seven Swimmers Set Personal Bests at Ohio State Invite

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Pitt women's swimming team had seven swimmers set personal best times over the course of three days at the Ohio State Invitational.
Ece Tanriverdi and Rachel Soubier each recorded personal best times in the 500-yard freestyle prelims and improved their time in the finals. Tanriverdi swam a 5:02.90 in the prelims and a 5:01.07 in the finals, while Soubier finished with a time of 5:06.70 in the prelims and a time of 5:04.08 in the finals.
Mia Sunseri made the A-finals in the 200-yard individual medley with a personal best time of 2:04.45, while Jayla Pina also qualified for the A-finals in the 200-yard Individual medley with an improved time of 2:06.24. Pina also finished fifth overall in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.41) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:18.18).
Jill Berger (55.68) and Maya Gendzel (56.70) each swam personal bests in the 100-yard butterfly, while Olivia Livingston recorded a best time in the 50-yard freestyle (24.03) and in the 100-yard freestyle (52.90).
