Pitt Athletics Achieves Record Graduation Success Rate

PITTSBURGH—University of Pittsburgh student-athletes achieved the highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in school history per recently released NCAA data.
The Panthers achieved a 93% GSR for the student-athlete cohort beginning in 2016-17.
This marks the 10th consecutive year that Pitt's GSR has either been maintained or improved from the prior report.
"We have the highest expectations for our student-athletes at the University of Pittsburgh," Director of Athletics Heather Lyke said. "Without a doubt, the most essential goal we have for them is earning a life-changing Pitt degree.
"Our continued improvement in GSR—and record number in this latest report—is a wonderful tribute to our highly committed academic support staff, the wholehearted support of Pitt coaches and administrators and, most importantly, our hardworking student-athletes who strive for excellence in everything they do. It truly is a "Pitt Proud" achievement."
