PITTSBURGH – Graduate transfers, Paulina DiFatta and Allyson Trice, were selected for the upcoming IWLCA Senior All-Star game Wednesday afternoon. The players selected have been divided into two teams: North and South.
DiFatta, an All-ACC and Honorable Mention All-America honoree in 2022, led Pitt in ground balls (51), saves (198) and save percentage (.469). She ranked second in the league in save percentage and first in saves, saves per game, and ground balls. Her 198 saves this year ranked fourth in the country. Over her career, DiFatta made 661 saves and recorded a .493 save percentage. She was just drafted in the Athletes Unlimited College Draft Tuesday night.
Trice completed a successful collegiate career after spending her fifth and final season with the Panthers. She started all 19 games at Pitt and 36 of 53 career games at Syracuse. In five seasons, Trice collected 57 ground balls and caused 37 turnovers and helped the Orange to a 49-20 record and three NCAA Tournament appearances before her time with the Panthers. Trice was a captain for Pitt in their inaugural campaign.
Two other ACC players, Sam Swart and Emily Hawryschuk from Syracuse, join DiFatta and Trice for the game.
