2022 Jeff Capel Pitt Basketball Camp Dates Announced

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh will host three sessions of the Jeff Capel Pitt Basketball Day Camp this summer at the Petersen Events Center, as well as a Team Camp, June 10-12, utilizing court space at the Petersen Events Center, Fitzgerald Field House and Trees Hall.
The first day camp is set for June 13-16 with sessions two and three running June 27-30 and July 11-14, respectively. Campers will be organized into groups by grade and ability and will receive individual instruction from the Pitt staff as well as current and former Panther players. The camp will also include team and individual awards with all campers receiving a Pitt Basketball t-shirt and basketball.
All camps will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Jeff Capel Pitt Basketball camps provide intensive individualized attention for each camper with enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis. Boys ages 7-17 are eligible for enrollment for the two camps in June. The final week of day camp is for boys age 7 up to boys entering the 7th grade.
The camp rate is $340 per player with discounts available to University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Carlow, Chatham and UPMC employees. Discounts are also available to campers attending more than one session as well as households with two or more family members attending. Lunch will be provided at the Perch in Southerland Hall, off Allequippa Street and a short walk from the Petersen Events Center.
All campers must register online prior to camp as there will be no on-site registrations for 2022 summer camps. Additional details as well as registration information is available at https://www.pittmbbcamps.com/.
The team camp will provide Varsity, Junior Varsity and Freshman teams with the opportunity to play in up to six games over the course of the weekend (June 10-12). Participants in the field will include teams from both local and national high schools with a limit of 60 team slots available. Pitt athletic training staff will be on hand to cover the camp.
Games will be officiated by certified basketball officials. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. Cost of the team camp is $20 per athlete per game.
