DiFatta Earns Inside Lacrosse All-America Honors

PITTSBURGH – Graduate transfer Paulina DiFatta was named Honorable Mention All-America by Inside Lacrosse as announced Monday afternoon. DiFatta joined the Pitt Lacrosse team for its inaugural season of competition in 2022 after competing at Fairfield and Elon previously.
This recognition marks DiFatta's second All-America selection, after being named a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Honorable Mention last year. She also earned All-Region and All-ACC honors this season and set the ACC Championship record for saves in a tournament and saves in a game. DiFatta led the team in ground balls (51), saves (198) and save percentage (.469). She ranks second in the league in save percentage and first in saves, saves per game, and ground balls. Her 198 saves this year rank fourth in the country. Over her career, DiFatta has made 661 saves and recorded a .493 save percentage.
Nine ACC players were named to the first team, two to the second team, five to the third and 17 honorable mention.
North Carolina and Boston College have reached the Final Four of the 2022 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
