Boissonneault Named to 2024 U20 Canada World Championship Staff

PITTSBURGH - University of Pittsburgh head lacrosse coach Emily Boissonneault will return as an assistant coach for the Canadian Women's U20 Lacrosse Team at the 2024 World Championships.
Boissonneault previously coached with the U19 women's team and carries a decorated playing career, winning four silver medals and one gold medal for Canada in World Lacrosse events.
The Atlantic Coast Conference will once again have a strong representation at the World Championship as Boissonneault will join Louisville assistant coaches Allison Daley and Kaylin Morissette on Canada's coaching staff.
Canada will look to continue its success in the World Championships, as they won the gold medal in 2015 and earned a silver in the championship in 2019. Other competing countries include: Australia, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, England, Germany, Haundenosaunee, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Chinese Taipei, USA and Wales.
The location and dates of the championship have yet to be announced.
Boissonneault and the Panthers will return in the spring for year two of Pitt lacrosse.
