
Vega Named ACC Diver of the Week

PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh sophomore diver Jess Vega has been named women's ACC Diver of the Week; the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Vega claims this honor after securing three first place finishes in the platform, 1-meter, and 3-meter events against George Washington. With these finishes, Vega qualified for NCAA Diving Zones and set new personal records in all three events: platform (263.10); 1-meter (302.10); 3-meter (318.75).
Pitt senior diver Dylan Reed also earned the men's ACC Diver of the Week honor for his performance against George Washington. This is the first weekly league honor for Vega and the second for Reed.

Vega and the Panthers are back in action, Nov. 17-19, for the Ohio State Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. The Pitt men's and women's swimming teams will continue the George Washington meet this weekend as the Panthers host at Trees Pool, Nov. 18-19.
