Williams Selected to Team Canada Super Sixes Roster

OSHAWA, ONTARIO – Panther sophomore Dylana Williams will represent Canada this weekend after being selected to participate in the 2022 Super Sixes event hosted by the red and white. The competition will take place in Oshawa, Ontario, Oct. 7-10 and will include England and the Haudenosaunee. This is a World Lacrosse friendly event as they try to continue to push sixes on the world stage.
Sixes is a fast-paced version of the sport played on a smaller field (70 x 36 meters), with fewer players (6 v 6), a condensed game length (four 8-minute quarters) and a 30-second shot clock. This is the same format used during The World Games this past summer.
This will be Williams' first chance to compete with Canada in a sixes format. Her father, Shawn Williams, will be coaching the group. Williams is currently the Head Coach and GM of the NLL's newest franchise, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs.
The Panthers will get their first taste of fall action Saturday, Oct. 8 as they travel to State College for the Penn State Play Day.
