Panthers Announce Fall Lacrosse Schedule

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh lacrosse program announced its fall competition schedule beginning Sunday, Sept. 26 with a home event at Highmark Stadium. The Panthers will have five playdays this fall in preparation for the inaugural season of Pitt Lacrosse in 2022.
"The fall playdays are extremely important for our program as we continue to build towards the first game in Pitt Lacrosse history in February," said head coach Emily Boissonneault. "I am eager to see our team compete against outside competition and for our young players to get a real feel for the pace and intensity of the college game. Hosting our team banquet Sept. 24 and then playing our first games Sept. 26 around Homecoming at Pitt is going to an exciting way to introduce our lacrosse program to the Pitt community and the Pittsburgh Lacrosse community."
Pitt's Sept. 26 playday will consist of three full games with a running clock beginning at 9 a.m. with Pitt Blue vs. Duquesne. Pitt Blue will square off against Pitt Gold at 10:45 a.m. before Pitt Gold wraps up the day against Duquesne beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Pitt's playday at Highmark Stadium is open to the public and lacrosse fans are encouraged to come out and enjoy one of the best settings in college lacrosse.
The Panthers' remaining playdays are at Robert Morris (Oct. 2), at Penn State (Oct. 9), at Navy (Oct. 16) and at Ohio State (Oct. 23).
