Pitt Lacrosse Holds First Fall Practice of Inaugural Season

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt Lacrosse team held its first fall practice of its inaugural season of competition Monday morning at the Pitt Sports Dome.
"All I wanted was for the girls to enjoy this first practice, so that is a practice they will never forget," said head coach Emily Boissonneault. "I thought they did just that. They trained hard, supported one another and we got a chance to scrimmage. Speed was our friend and I think that is hustle and heart. At the end of the day that is something they can control everyday. It set the tone for the future of the program."
The Panthers roster for its inaugural season in 2022 features 14 transfers, along with three members of the 2019 Pitt Club Lacrosse National Championship Team, six members from the 2020 recruiting class and 15 student-athletes from the class of 2021.
Pitt's fall schedule will feature five exhibition competitions, including a home play date in September. The complete fall exhibition schedule will be announced at a later date.
