Varsity Letter Club Introduces New Structure

"Once a Panther, always a Panther!"
That's the rallying cry for the historic Pitt Varsity Letter Club (VLC), which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.
From the very beginning, the Varsity Letter Club's mission has been to promote and celebrate academic and athletic excellence at the University of Pittsburgh through a network of Pitt Athletics varsity letterwinners known as "Forever Panthers."
Starting this fall, the Varsity Letter Club will introduce a new structure that will enhance your experience and opportunities as a VLC and Panther Club member.
Forever Panthers, simply update your contact information at this link to be included in events and communications hosted by the Varsity Letter Club.
To be an ACTIVE VLC Member, Forever Panthers can make philanthropic contributions of $50 or more to any area of Pitt Athletics and have the opportunity to receive the newly structured VLC benefits listed below:
September 25: Homecoming vs. New Hampshire
October 23: Pitt Athletics Hall of Fame Celebration vs. Clemson
Your active VLC membership also qualifies as your Panther Club membership. You can support the area you are most passionate about—your sport, the scholarship fund or the Life Skills program—while enjoying the many benefits of the Varsity Letter Club and Panther Club.
"This new structure will make it easier for our Forever Panthers to maximize their memberships with the Varsity Letter Club as well as the Panther Club," said Sam Clancy, Pitt's Director of the Varsity Letter Club. "We are really looking forward to more opportunities for Pitt people to gather again and celebrate all that is great with our university."
Make your gift here and activate your newly expanded membership! The Varsity Letter Club is housed within the Cathy & John Pelusi Life Skills Program if you would like to continue to support the VLC.
(Please note, payments toward scholarship seating or parking for football/men's basketball do not count toward your active VLC membership)
