Nine Panthers Named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

PITTSBURGH – Pitt swimming and diving had nine student-athletes recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) today, earning Scholar All-American honors.
Women's diver Amy Read earned First Team recognition for the second consecutive year. Fellow diver Meredith Gould was named to the honorable mention team for the second straight season while Emma Gravgaard earned honorable mention for the first time. Swimmer Abby Grottle was also named honorable mention.
For the men, a diving trio of Wesley Ahart, Josh Parquet and Dylan Reed all received first team honors for the first time. Ahart and Parquet were named honorable mention in 2019. Swimmers Serhii Ahadzhanian and Flynn Crisci round out the team with their first honorable mention accolades.
The nine Pitt student-athletes were honored for their impressive combination of academic and athletics success by the CSCAA. Both Pitt men's and women's swimming and diving teams were deemed Scholar All-America programs based on overall grade-point averages, the CSCAA announced last week. The teams earned the honor after posting GPAs of 3.25 (men) and 3.41 (women) respectively.
