Five Panthers Earn Honor for Fifth Consecutive Year

GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second consecutive year, the University of Pittsburgh placed a school record number of student-athletes on the annual Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll, with 316 names on the list for the 2020-21 academic term.

Pitt's 316 recognized this year bettered the previous school mark of 277 set in 2019-20.

The ACC Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year. The ACC recognized a league record 5,792 student-athletes across all 15 schools for 2020-21. All 15 schools had at least one student-athlete who earned honor roll status for a fifth time.

Five Panthers earned the accolades for the fifth time in their careers: Nina Crawford (track & field), Brittany Knight (softball), Kylee Levers (volleyball), Jimmy Morrissey (football) and Jake Wentzel (wrestling). Twenty-four other Panthers received the honors for the fourth time.
