PITTSBURGH – Head coach Emily Boissonneault continues to add talent and experience to the Pitt Lacrosse roster with the additions of transfers Molly Carter, Allyson Trice and Julia Foster. Carter and Trice join the program following a 2021 NCAA Championship Final Four run at Syracuse, while Foster is coming off an impressive four-year career at Division II power Limestone University.
"Molly, Allyson and Julia are talented players who add to the depth and experience of our roster," said Boissonneault. "We are excited to bring in another group of players who have already competed collegiately at a high level, including the experience gained by multiple NCAA Tournament appearances. I love the way our roster for the inaugural season of Pitt Lacrosse has come together and can't wait to get out on the practice field this fall to continue our work in building this program."
Carter tallied 35 points on 16 goals and 19 assists over 29 career games for the Orange. She did not play this season but trained with the team throughout their NCAA Championship run. The Lynbrook, N.Y., native was a two-time Under Armour All-American in high school and excelled as a freshman in 2018 with 15 goals and 15 assists.
Trice has started on defense the final 29 games of her career at Syracuse, including all 21 games during their National Championship game run this season. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., she was an Under Armour All-America selection in 2016 and concluded her high school career with 18 goals, 12 assists and 102 ground balls.
Foster, a two-time all-conference and all-region selection, recorded 181 points on 128 goals and 53 assists over 63 career games at Limestone University. She led the team to a 53-10 record, three NCAA Tournament appearances and two Conference Carolinas championships.
The Panthers roster for its inaugural season in 2022 now features 12 transfers, along with three members of the 2019 Pitt Club Lacrosse National Championship Team, six members from the 2020 recruiting class and 15 student-athletes from the class of 2021.
