
Pitt Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Recognition

NEW ORLEANS – Both the men's and women's cross country programs were named to the Division I Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Thursday afternoon. This marks the first time since 2018 that both programs earned the team academic recognition.
The Pitt women's squad posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.358 as they have 14 student-athletes maintaining over a 3.0 cumulative GPA for their career. On the men's side, the Panthers posted a team cumulative GPA of 3.232 with eight student-athletes notching a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA.
In all, there were 233 women's programs who earned the team recognition while 220 men's programs were also awarded the academic recognition.
In order to qualify for All-Academic Team distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
