PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh will soon feature the ACC Network within its residence halls thanks to a partnership between Pitt Athletics and University of Pittsburgh Television [UPTV], Channel 68.
"We are excited to partner with UPTV to bring the ACC Network to our students here on campus," said Seth Graham, Assistant AD of Information Technology. "It was important to us that students had access to Pitt events televised by the ACC Network and they will now be able to watch those contests from their own rooms when they are not able to attend in person."
The ACC Network will be presented by UPTV for live events that feature the Panthers. Through this agreement, only selected Pitt events televised on the ACCN will be available on Channel 68. Saturday's softball game between Pitt and Syracuse from Vartabedian Field (4:30 p.m.) will be the first ACC Network contest presented by UPTV available in campus residence halls.
"We're super grateful for this opportunity to bring Pitt sports to students on campus," said Jacob Mahaffey, president of UPTV. "This is a fantastic opportunity to keep school pride high when in-person events aren't an option, and it's also a great way to introduce and promote some of the work of students in our organization."
