Noel Garners ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Honors

PITTSBURGH – Pitt men's soccer sophomore Valentin Noel was honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference today, earning Co-Offensive Player of the Week accolades for his performance in No. 7 Pitt's 4-3 double overtime victory at Duke Mar. 19.
Noel joins Boston College's Mike Suski for Offensive Player of the Week. The ACC honored BC's Christian Garner and Alex Rando for Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Noel scored two goals Friday night in Durham, recording an equalizer goal in the 28th minute to make it a 1-1 game and gave Pitt a 2-1 advantage in the 54th minute. It was the third time this season Noel registered two goals in a game.
The Niort, France, native has 10 goals and 22 points on the season, both of which are good for first in the ACC and second in the country. The ACC Player of the Week nod is his second of the season, previously earning Co-Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 19.
