Sunday’s Home Match Versus Akron Postponed
2/20/2021 12:38:00 PM | Men's Soccer
PITTSBURGH – Sunday afternoon's men's soccer match against Akron has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions.
The match was originally scheduled for today at 3 p.m., but pushed back a day due to inclement weather including snow and ice. The game has no makeup date at this time.
The Panthers' postponement is the second called off game this spring. Last weekend's home exhibition against Georgetown was canceled due to COVID concerns within the Hoya program.
Pitt's next scheduled match is Saturday, Feb. 27 at home against city rival Duquesne. Start time is set for 7 p.m. on ACCNX. Fans are not allowed inside Ambrose Urbanic Field at this time. Further updates will be provided on the Pitt athletic site and social media platforms.
