Odukale Named ACC Co-Player of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Sophomore guard Femi Odukale was named ACC Co-Player of the Week Monday afternoon, as announced by the league office. He shared the weekly honors with Notre Dame's Dane Goodwin, while Duke's Paolo Banchero earned ACC Freshman of the Week accolades.

The Brooklyn, N.Y., native matched a career high with 28 points to go along with two rebounds and three assists in a 64-55 win over Jacksonville last Tuesday. Odukale went 9-of-13 from the field, including a career-best 5-of-7 from three-point range as the Panthers captured their second consecutive win.

Odukale made all three three-point attempts and finished with 11 points in the opening half of play. He erupted for 17 second-half points as Pitt used a 22-3 run over a nearly nine-minute span to take control of the game early in the second half of play.

Pitt returns to action Tuesday, Dec. 28 against Notre Dame. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. from the Petersen Events Center.
