Syracuse (5-5-1, 1-3 ACC) responded in the 29th minute as Noah Singelmann took a cross from right to left and headed it on goal from inside the six yard box.
The score remained 1-1 at the break, with Syracuse outshooting the Panthers 6-5 while both teams totaled one corner each.
Both teams held each other at bay for 40 minutes in the second half, with the Panthers controlling most of the possession but the Orange defense never giving Pitt a true chance inside the box. Junior Veljko Petkovic nearly broke the tie, as he served a free kick shot that landed just over the cross bar in the 82nd minute.
In the 86th minute, Jacquesson sent a cross from left to right toward the back post who found the 6-2 Ordoñez for the score. Three minutes later, Syracuse drew a penalty inside the box and converted the penalty kick, sending the game into overtime at 2-2.
Pitt outshot the Orange 2-0 in the first overtime and had two corners to Syracuse's zero, but the score remained the same after 10 minutes.
The Panthers controlled almost all possession in the second overtime and nearly came away with the victory in the 104th minute as junior Valentin Noel's right foot attempt inside the six hit the post and deflected right.
With one minute left to play, the Panthers drew a corner kick. Jacquesson served it from left to right and found Feitosa from eight yards out, who headed into the back of the net for the game-winner.
Pitt finished the match with a 15-8 advantage in shots and 7-3 in corner kicks. Graduate student goalkeeper Nico Campuzano recorded two saves for his 22nd career victory.
