Three Panthers Named to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

PITTSBURGH – Men's soccer graduate student Nico Campuzano, senior Alexander Dexter and freshman Bertin Jacquesson were named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
The team of the week consisted of performances between the days of Sept. 21-27.
Campuzano recorded a win inside the goal in his first start as a Panther, tallying one save in Pitt's 3-1 victory over No. 5 Notre Dame on Sept. 26. Campuzano and the defense held Notre Dame to five shots and two shots on goal.
Forwards Dexter and Jacquesson each recorded one goal and earned an assist against the Irish. Jacquesson found Dexter in the 11th minute for the first goal of the 2020 campaign to put Pitt up 1-0. Dexter returned the favor to Jacquesson in the 72nd minute, as the senior found the Frenchman inside the 18-yard box for a score, solidifying the Panthers' victory.
No. 2 Pitt next faces Syracuse on the road Tuesday, Oct. 6 for the ACC opener for both teams. Start time is set for 7 PM on the ACC Network.
