West, Jacquesson Named Office Depot/Supra Student-Athletes of the Week

Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes Honored
PITTSBURGH – Amanda West of women's soccer and Bertin Jacquesson of men's soccer were named the Office Depot/Supra Student-Athletes of the Week following impressive performances in their respective sports.
West scored both game-winning goals for No. 12 Pitt at the Citadel last week. The sophomore recorded the golden goal off a penalty kick in the 2-1 victory Thursday and scored the lone goal with less than three minutes in the shutout Sunday. She has scored three-straight game-winning goals and a goal in all six games this fall, something no other Panther in program history has done before.
Jacquesson began his Panther career in a big way, scoring a goal and tallying an assist in Pitt's top-five victory over No. 5 Notre Dame Saturday night. The freshman assisted senior Alexander Dexter for the first goal of the 2020 season early in the first half and scored his own goal in the 72nd minute, sealing the 3-1 victory for the fourth-ranked Panthers.
