
Wake Forest Edges Pitt, 3-2, in Exhibition Opener

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Panthers fell to the Demon Deacons, 3-2, at Spry Stadium on the campus of Wake Forest Sunday evening in the exhibition opener for both squads.
Highlights & Notes
- While tonight's stats will not be counted in the official record book, senior Edward Kizza scored in the 64th minute with a header off a corner kick. Kizza tied for 20th in the NCAA in goals a season ago with 12.
- Freshman Bertin Jacquesson made his presence known in the college ranks. The Lorrez-le-Bocage, France, native earned an assist off a corner kick in the 72nd minute as senior Alexander Dexter connected with the back of the net for an equalizing score.
- Graduate student Nico Campuzano finished with six saves in one half in his Panther debut.
Pitt led in shots, 17-16, while both teams totaled 10 shots on goal. Campuzano finished with six saves in one half, while senior Arie Ammann recorded one save in 25 minutes of action.
