Panthers Shutout Louisville, 5-0, in Final Exhibition at Home

PITTSBURGH – Four different Pitt players scored and the Panther defense held Louisville to zero goals in a 5-0 rout Saturday evening at Ambrose Urbanic Field in the final exhibition game for both squads.
Highlights and Notes
In the 63rd minute of the second half, sophomore Valentin Noel took a volley from sophomore Raphael Crivello and connected with the lower right half of the net, extending Pitt's lead 4-0. Petkovic added to his point total for the day, this time in the goal column as he added the fifth score for the Panthers in the 69th minute. Freshman Filip Mirkovic assisted Petkovic on the goal.
Pitt outshot the Cardinals 17-4 for the night, including 9-2 in the first half. The Panthers also led in corner kicks, 7-3. Pitt held Louisville to just one shot on goal for the entirety of the game.
