Jeff Capel Radio Show Returns Thursday, Dec. 17

PITTSBURGH – The Jeff Capel Radio Show, hosted by Jeff Hathhorn live from Pitt Studios at the Petersen Events Center, will broadcast throughout the season from 6-7 pm on 93.7 The Fan (KDKA-FM) and other affiliates of the Pitt Sports Radio Network.
The 10-episode show featuring head coach Jeff Capel will include game previews, recaps and evaluation as well as a behind the scenes look at the Panthers. Special guests will also join the show throughout the season. The first show debuts Thursday, Dec. 17. Regular show dates begin Thursday, Jan. 7 and continue each Thursday throughout ACC play.
Pitt, 4-1 on the season with a four-game win streak, opens ACC play at Miami Wednesday, Dec. 16 (6 p.m. – ACC Network). A trio of returning starters Justin Champagnie, Xavier Johnson and Au'Diese Toney leads the Panthers. Champagnie has recorded consecutive 20/20 games and enters Wednesday's ACC opener averaging 19.4 points and a league-high 13.0 rebounds per game. Johnson leads the ACC in assists (6.6 apg.) to go along with 16.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while Toney is averaging 16.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and shooting 52.9 percent from the field.
