Fan Attendance Halted at Petersen Events Center Following Updated COVID Restrictions

PITTSBURGH -- Due to updated regulations from the Governor's office for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, announced Thursday, December 10, 2020, the University of Pittsburgh is no longer permitted to host fans for the Pitt Basketball season at the Petersen Events Center.

The new, limited-time mitigation orders take effect at 12:01 a.m. on December 12, and remain in effect until 8 a.m. on January 4, 2021.
The Pitt men's basketball team hosts Gardner-Webb Saturday, Dec. 12 (4 p.m. – AT&T Sportsnet) at the Petersen Events Center, while the women's basketball team is slated to host Clemson Sunday, Dec. 13 (12 p.m. – ACCN).
