Young Signs with Israeli Club Ironi Nahariya BC

PITTSBURGH – Former standout forward and Pitt alum Michael Young signed with Israeli basketball club Ironi Nahariya BC today.
Young most recently played for Hapoel Galil Gilboa during the 2019-20 season in the Israeli BSL, playing in 18 games and averaging 17.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. The Duquesne, Pa., native also had a stint with JDA Dijon of the Basketball Champions League Europe during the 2019-20 campaign, where in six games he averaged 6.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest.
Young, who graduated in 2017, finished his Pitt career seventh all-time in points with 1,835. He ended his career with an average of 13.5 points per game, including 19.6 his senior year. Young also finished with 847 career rebounds, which ranks seventh all-time in program history. His 111 offensive boards are also tied for ninth.
