
Pitt’s Brandon Hill Named ACC Defensive Back of the Week

PITTSBURGH—Pitt redshirt freshman safety Brandon Hill, who made the first start of his collegiate career this past weekend at Florida State, has been named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week.
Hill figured prominently in the Panthers' 41-17 win, collecting a game-high eight tackles, forcing a fumble and putting an exclamation point on the victory with a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown.
He was part of a defensive effort that limited the Seminoles to 290 total yards, while collecting three interceptions and seven sacks.
In eight games this season, Hill (Apopka, Fla./Wekiva) has compiled 21 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception and a pass breakup.
The Panthers (4-4, 3-4 ACC) play at Georgia Tech (2-5, 2-4) this Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised locally by AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh.
