Ndee, Mort Named Office Depot/Supra Student-Athletes of the Week

Volleyball, Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes Honored
PITTSBURGH – Chinaza Ndee of volleyball and Luke Mort of men's soccer were named the Office Depot/Supra Student-Athletes of the Week following impressive performances in their respective sports.
Ndee, a senior captain for the volleyball team, hit .304 playing primarily on the right side with 3.71 kills per set over two matches against No. 6 Louisville Friday and Sunday. The Houston, Texas, native led the 10th-ranked Panthers to a 1-1 weekend, including a sweep of the sixth-ranked Cardinals Friday night. She added .86 blocks and .29 service aces per frame for the week. Ndee hit .375 in the second meeting with Louisville with 17 kills while tying a career high with two aces. The Panthers completed their eight-match fall campaign at 4-4 and will look ahead to playing again in the spring.
Mort, a redshirt freshman out of Greensburg, Pa., scored his first career goal Friday in a 4-1 victory at Louisville. Mort totaled two shots in 28 minutes of action, scoring the fourth and final goal against the Cardinals. The Greensburg Central Catholic alum became the eighth goal scorer for the Panthers this season, who lead the country in scoring offense with 3.40 goals per game.
