Pitt to Introduce 50/50 Raffle at Men's Basketball Contests

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh will host a 50/50 raffle, presented by the Greater Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union, at all men's basketball home games beginning Saturday, Jan. 4 against Wake Forest (12 p.m. – AT&T SportsNet), school officials announced Thursday.
There will be 50/50 raffle kiosks located in the Petersen Events Center lobby, on Concourse A, behind section 106 and behind sections 201-202 as well as personnel moving throughout the arena selling tickets. Raffle tickets are available for purchase when the gates open (90 minutes prior to tipoff) until the 12-minute mark on the game clock in the second half.
One fan will take home half of the game's collection, while the remainder of the proceeds will benefit the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics.
The winning number will be announced during the final eight minutes of game action. The winner does not need to be present to claim the prize.
