PITTSBURGH—Pitt junior defensive tackle Keyshon Camp will undergo season-ending surgery after sustaining a knee injury in the Virginia opener, head coach Pat Narduzzi announced.
"We are really heartbroken for Keyshon," Narduzzi said. "He put a tremendous amount of work in during the offseason and was outstanding against Virginia before he got hurt. Keyshon is a strong young man, though, and I know he won't let this adversity sidetrack him."
This is the second time in a month that Pitt lost a major player on its defensive line due to injury. Junior defensive end Rashad Weaver sustained a season-ending knee injury early in training camp.
The Panthers host Ohio at Heinz Field this Saturday, September 7, at 11 a.m.
