Pickett, Hargrove and Mathews Honored as ACC Players of the Week

PITTSBURGH—Three Pitt players were honored today by the Atlantic Coast Conference for their performances in the Panthers' 35-34 victory over UCF.
Kenny Pickett was selected the ACC Quarterback of the Week, Bryce Hargrove was recognized as the Offensive Lineman of the Week and Aaron Mathews was honored as the Specialist of the Week.
Each of the trio played vital roles in helping Pitt halt UCF's 27-game regular-season winning streak.

Pickett (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) was an all-around offensive threat against the Knights. He threw for 224 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 61 additional yards and, on the game's decisive play, caught a three-yard touchdown off a gadget pass—known as the "Pitt Special"—from Mathews.
Pickett, who ranks 16th nationally with 1,102 passing yards, was additionally named to the Davey O'Brien Award's "Great 8" for his UCF performance.
