Panthers Well Represented at USA Swimming Nationals

STANFORD, Calif. – University of Pittsburgh swimming & diving head coach John Hargis and a group of 10 Panthers have arrived in California to compete at the upcoming 2019 Phillips 66 USA Swimming National Championships against some of the best swimmers in the world.
The annual USA Swimming Championships will be from July 31 through Aug. 4 at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center, with preliminary heats beginning at 12 p.m. ET each day and finals starting at 8 p.m. ET through Sunday evening's finale.
Representing Pitt swimming & diving will be rising seniors Luke Smutny, Valerie Daigneault, Sarah Giamber and Madelyn Shaffer; juniors Armin Remenyi, Blaise Vera and Camryn Forbes; and incoming freshmen Wojciech Dutkowiak and Daisy Anderson.
Pitt senior Samy Helmbacher, who recently competed at the World University Games in Naples, Italy, will also race at USA Nationals this week while wearing the colors of his native France.
Qualifying heats on each day of the event can be streamed at usaswimming.org, while evening finals will be broadcast live on television at 8 p.m. ET via NBC Sports Network on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and via the Olympic Channel on Saturday and Saturday.
